Why Corners of Boston?

I started Corners as a way to express myself and share the parts of Boston and New England that actually mean something to me. But the deeper I moved through these beautiful, aspirational spaces, the more I realized something — they weren't built for someone who looked like me, came from a background like mine, or lived a life like mine.

so instead of waiting for these spaces to accommodate me, I stopped waiting altogether. I started carving out something of my own. A space that felt genuinely comfortable, that took up room without apology, and that pushed for the kind of diverse representation these places were missing.

What started as a personal creative project, the slow, editorial videos and intimate photos of overlooked corners, quietly grew into a community I never could have anticipated.

And that community is now built around three things: sharing the cozy, curated corners of New England with you; spotlighting spaces where everyone feels genuinely welcome, regardless of background or budget; and showing up honestly in spaces not traditionally designed for people of color or the LGBTQ+ community, and always reporting back with full transparency.

Because underneath all of it is something I feel deeply: beauty shouldn't have a membership fee. What you see in my content was never about luxury for luxury's sake. It's about care, attention, and the very simple but powerful idea that everyone has the right to feel at home somewhere beautiful.

I'm proudly Guatemalan, proudly queer, and proudly building something in New England that reflects my culture, my color, and a landscape I was once told wasn't for me. Whether you're visiting Boston for the first time or have lived here your whole life, there is always a new story waiting around the corner.
